Winter Special Menu – Rajdhani

In a city like Bangalore options for food are huge, but if you are a person who goes to the green grocer and picks up  vegetables everyday then you know the plight ☹ .It’s the same vegetables all round the year and its on you to do tic tac toe and select.

Rajdhani has ramassed these from different parts of the country and brought it in one thali in their winter special menu which was available from 15th to 30th Dec 2017.This festivities of dishes is a regular ritual from Rajdhani however I especially loved the spread of this winter special. There’s nothing better than hot, delicious food representing different parts of the country and served on the plate while being treated royally as a guest.

At the centre of the Thali  was the “Surti Undhiya’ paired with Puri and jalebi. Another favourite dish which makes the heart go ‘balle balle’ was ‘sarson ka saag’ with Makai roti. To give that twist in flavor and tease the tongue there was piping hot Jeera Parathas with Sukhi Arbi. We also tasted Soonth Ladoo prepared in the traditional way and Gujarati speciality ‘Sukhdi’ . Those who hanker for the fresh winter greens (count me in it too) – there was Lilva Dana Sabji with Jowar Rotla. Something which I must-must mention is the ‘Haldi Nu Saak’ , loved it.

These were an addition to the usual thali favourites of mine like their dal bati churma, khichdi etc. Loved this special edition winter menu by Khandani Rajdhani.

Here is a list of  the special items:

Surti undhiya with Puri, Kesar Jalebi.

Haldi Nu Saak with Makai, Goond ke Laddoo.

Sarson Shalgam ki Sabji with Moong Rotla and Gujarati Kachariya

Lilva Dana Sabji with bajra rotla and khajur ladoo

Ker Sangri Kofta with Matki Rotla and Mewa Kachori

Methi ka petla with Jowar Rotla , Makkhan and badam laddoo.
