Slices of bread with peanut butter , banana slices, dipped in French toast batter - finished on the griddle , served with generous drizzle of toffee sauce and a scoop of vanilla sauce on the side. Present life needs a smarter ways of juggling multiple things and a smart start definitely sets the pace correctly. I have just started using the #lenovosmartclock since this morning . It's cool . I can now keep the phone away , which was in a way my alarm clock and was always kept it under the pillow. Infact I started using it since last night to put some relaxing music while I hit the bed .... As it is powered by #googleassistant , it's easier to operate. A non techy person like me , can use it easily too.ibalso like the fact that it doesn't hurt the eyes in the dark. Now that my parents left Bangalore , I spent the entire day in my couch. Thinking. Reminiscing. Christmas is finally here in Bangalore. We saw the #christmastree go up in lights, last evening... Goan delicacies for the #goanfood lovers in @saltrestaurantsin oy in @vrbengaluru , thats the theme for this month. I loved the goan prawn shorba , the prawn kismur sukh re (traditional Goan dry prawns in fresh coconut , Goan chillies and tamarind) , rava fried fish (king fish) , chicken cafreal for the chicken fan. There are good options for vegetariand too and I found them good too : bhindi foo-gath and the Saraswat styled veg stew - khatkhatem. The other day while talking to my colleagues at work we were discussing why can not cafeteria food be plain combinations ; simple food just like home instead of too many items - which people don't eat and it result in huge wastage. The discussion piled on among cousin group too and then I got to know about this niche place near #kundanahalli. We visited the place and ordered for quaint homely stuff like moong daal khichdi , kaali daal khichdi (I have not got the chance to have this outside home in Bangalore prior to this ) , papadchuri etc. I also loved the bowl of rajma chawal which comes like a pre-mixed bowl. Needless to say they have other items like baingan bharta, daal fry, paneer jaipuri etc. Everything is priced very reasonably. The combos are perfect for all the working professionals around. I shall go back for their #jainfood. By the way, the young entrepreneur bears the legacy of his family run business (30+ years in coimbatore) with the same name. If you have known the #gardencity I am sure you have also observed the changes this city has gone , weather or demographic wise etc . While these changes have affected many things - some places have still retained their #charm. I call them #iconic in their own way. @theleelapalacebengaluru is such an icon. What Taj Mahal Palace is to Mumbai so is The Leela Palace to Bangalore. The experience inside Leela is only known to the ones who have experienced it. I have been to #jamawar & #citrus earlier and finally I experienced #Zen . On the occasion of #loikrathong in #thailand they have curated special menu for lunch & dinner till 17th of this month. It's just not about the food , the atmosphere; the Oasis like place indeed gets you in a #zenlike state of mind. I went back home and kept saying - I am so happy today !! Today a friend @namionthemove (Namita) shared a word in one of the groups "kuchisabishii" which means "you are not hungry , but you are still eating as your mouth is lonely".
