A fortnight back , incited by some pictures on Facebook finally we made it to “OKI”. Off late of all the restaurants I have visited ,OKI is definitely my bookmarked place. I am really happy to have visited this place. The ambiance , the cozy interior , the huge wall depicting the Chinese lanterns and above all the food – I loved them all.
This place is opened by an acclaimed Chef Surajit Ghara who was connected with Lemon Tree Premier, Zuri White Sand Resorts , Varca & many more logos .This is his own venture where he wanted to bring quality food in wallet friendly state to his diners. Currently he is also working on a new menu that will have European and Asian recipes in 40:60 ratio.
Here is the list of dishes we tried:
Soups :
Wild mushroom soup.
Smoke Duck Wanton Soup – Part of their special Xmas and New Year Menu (below)
Starters & Main Course :
Pink summer roll (rice paper roll with roasted beetroot, red cabbage, lettuce, fresh herbs, nuoc cham, chilli tamarind dip).A very innovative dish.Something I have never tried before.
Dim sum in Aromatic sauce – shanghai style steamed assorted dim sums with tangy chilli coriander sauce.
Pattaya Tom Yum – street style flavourful hot and sour prawn soup with lemongrass, kaffir lime, straw mushroom, oyster mushroom, cilantro.

Grilled Tiger Prawns
Grilled Chicken (for all those who love chicken, this is a must try, it has a burst of different flavours)
Beverages :
When it comes to beverages currently they don’t have any alcoholic drink. However they have quite a few interesting mocktails, like :
Blueberry Camomile Martini
Cranberry Mojito
Lemon Basil Margarita (must try)
Pomegranate Dill Spritzer (try it)
Apple Cider Tom Yum(my favourite)
They also serve a non-alcoholic beer.I tried the same and found it refreshing.
Desserts :
In desserts we could only try two – given that we were already full. We tried the Cheese cake with raspberry coulis and whole wheat marie (its an acquired taste, personally speaking – once you start you cant just stop).
Fig and honey ice cream with orange poached dry figs
Overall a wonderful experience and I would like to visit again to try their other dishes.
