Last year I was discussing with my cousins about visiting them around April this year – the main aim was to see #sakura or #cherryblossom in the land of the rising sun. However, in the meantime , the US stay popped up and we stopped further discussion on that topic.
End of Feb , R came home from office , with a look which told me there is something to share. He had known my wish to see the Cherry blossom . He said what if you could not make it Japan this year , you can see it in the heart of #nyc , in fact you don’t even have to go to #washington.
Since then I kept an eye on the #brooklynbotanicalgarden calendar. In fact about a month back on one of the social media platforms I saw its about to bloom , I visited the garden Immediately, only to see one tree dressed in pale pink , so as not to disappoint me. I shall always remember that tree. Also, one of their main attraction, #thejapanesegarden , was under renovation and not open for public.
This time when I went back it was totally mesmerizing. Especially the #cherryesplanade is something one can’t forget.
I have seen cherry blossoms in #roosevelt island , #newyorkbotanicalgarden . Each had it’s own charm . But the one in #brooklynbotanical garden is truly enchanting. Yes, that’s the adjective I shall like to use.
