A tryst with Nostalgia at Nizaams

I was back home after 3 days and the foodie in me was dying to try out someplace new.The Bangalore rain added to the charm and hence Rajarshee and I decided to go out in the evening & guess what was on the top of my list – “roll” My hawk eyes (for food) had pinned this place earlier, but I had not explored it.The rain and the jam did not dwindle my spirit. Google search initially did not churn out any results but then we realized that i was searching for Nizam with a single “A” (make no mistake , when you try searching for it ,Check with double “aa”)

IMG_20180521_203438.jpgWe spotted the place, parked our car and went up the metallic stairs to discover a small cozy nook, on a Terrace turned restaurant. We ordered for a mutton roll & a chilly chicken roll . The mutton roll obviously turned out a better option. It’s always true always … Go for the tried and tested !

As I sat savouring my “roll” and watching the traffic, I heard myself humming a favorite song from a Bangla band.It was truly nostalgic.

We spent about 30-45 mins there , having all the tables and chairs to ourselves. Only a couple of zomato/ swiggy personnels collected their assignments.

I wonder if the bengali / east Indian community of Kaggadaspura/Jeevanbima Nagar or Indiranagar know about this place ?

I would love to swing by the place for ‘adda’ along with a ‘roll’ anytime.
