Having worked in the ITES/IT sector for 13.5 years now – I realize most of us attached with this industry have a different passion to pursue. However, once we are caught in the vicious cycle of credit cards, EMIs, etc. – you cannot pursue your dreams.
Sreekanth Radhakrishnan, the entrepreneur behind this tiny, cozy, café in Indiranagar – Bean Flickers, was a similar IT pursuant too. He has been abroad, worked – lived and then finally after lot of thoughts, broke the web and finally opened this café.
We happened to meet him by chance in his own café one Sunday morning – while we were trying to figure out what to order.
He happily introduced himself, spoke to us, suggested what we can try & that’s how the conversation begin.
We were in a rush to another event and all we wanted to do is get a quick grub & a coffee to wash it down and leave. But once we entered, the warm morning sun penetrating from the French window, the interiors, the single table by its side took me back to the Parisian Café nostalgic glimpse. I sat there for a while – looked outside, Bangalore still sleepy!
They have a wide variety of coffee to choose from and we ordered Espresso (small),Babyccino (it’s a little sweet – preferably for the kids accompanying their parents or elders) & Cappuccino.
In the Subs we tried the Beach front Special – Shellfish with chicken salami ( very unique) and the Mexican Lamb Mince.
In Burgers we had The Jumbo Chicken Burger, Chicken sliders and the Lamb Burger.
This is a place where I would like to come back times and again – to sit by the same table and finish my writeups & edit my pics & sip their coffee or nibble on the subs.
They have soups and dessert subs too – which I am yet to try. I also need to go back for the Jumbo burgers.
