Flechazo – Love at First Sight

20171018_221918When you visit a restaurant multiple times over a year or little and it still wows you – you feel like writing about it, isn’t it?

Yup, that’s exactly how Flechazo has been to me always. My first visit was along with my office colleagues, followed by personal visit to mark important days. These days – it’s that trusted name where I take my family, when they are visiting from Kolkata or other friends – if I have to take them out.

The place has a charm, novelty in the menu, changes the menu from time to time, a very warm crew who take personal interest in feeding you as if they are hosting you at home , engagement (make your own pizza from scratch) – seeing the different nitrogen ice-creams come from thin air , the conveyor belt carrying the food shots in attractive forms etc.

Recently I visited them in close succession and I realized they are putting lot of effort in terms of wooing us with different items.

I shall not touch upon the regular menu items – but talk about the special items that I tried over the past few visits.

The little “hatkey” stuffs that we tried were lamb kebab, chicken gilafi, chicken popcorn, lamb sheikh kebab, tawa fry pesto sauce (fish). Another dish which I fell in love with is the Cottage Cheese Cordon bleu. Other dishes include bhuna chicken, tandoori chicken kebab, Chicken satay, Prawn Salt and Pepper, chilly prawn, chicken shawarma (just the filling part and not the usual we way know it. Crispy Corn, Pineapple honey chilly. Out of these, couple of things which I really loved are the tried were lamb kebab, chicken gilafi, chicken popcorn, lamb sheikh kebab, tawa fry pesto sauce (fish). Another dish which I fell in love, is the Cottage Cheese Cordon blue! The Chicken satay (there is an infusion of lemon grass flavor) & chicken gilafi are very different too.

In the mains the Stuffed aloo benarasi is very nice ; Thyme scented lentils and couscous stuffed tomato is very nice and unique for me. One of the evenings they had Khabsa too. This was served in a beautiful container. Though it was late – Chef did not feel bad about going and making this for us. They have recently introduced Greek Lamb moussaka I also love their Tropical treat (Mango & coconut, ice-cream)

In dessert too, they have quite a few options, it’s better that you check it out all, decide and then go for it. The desserts in store are crispy : Jalebi with rabri and sliced nuts, macarons, soft centered nut brownie, classy Rajasthani moong dal halwa, angoori gulab jamun, Yogurt parfait (this is my favourite) . Another different thing is the French floating island with cream anglais. Macarons perch on this table too.

On the whole this is a place where you can go out without any hesitation and rest assured they will still charm you … !
